Andrew Hamilton reappointed as Expert Adviser on Restoration and Renewal
The Leader of the House of Commons has reappointed Mr Andrew Hamilton as her Expert Adviser on the Restoration and Renewal (R&R) of Parliament Programme.

Andrew Hamilton is the Development Director of Poundbury, an urban extension to the town of Dorchester. With his experience in heritage property development, Mr Hamilton will provide independent technical advice to the Leader of the Commons in her capacity as a member of the R&R Client Board.

Mr Hamilton was appointed in February 2022 to support the then Leader of the House of Commons during Phase One of R&R. The Leader has extended his appointment for the same purpose: to support her during Phase One of the programme.

Notes:

  • As part of the appointments process, Mr Hamilton has declared all potential conflicts of interest. This position is focused on the Restoration and Renewal of Parliament Programme and is entirely separate from Mr Hamilton’s work related to the Poundbury Development.
  • This is a direct appointment made by the Leader of the House of Commons and Mr Hamilton’s term will end in June 2026.
  • Mr Hamilton will continue to perform his part-time, unpaid advisory role for the Leader of the House of Commons for two days per month.
