The High Court upholds the government's decision to close the Independent Living Fund

The High Court has announced its decision on the judicial review case between 2 ILF users and the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.

On 8 December 2014, the court dismissed the claimants’ application for judicial review and upheld the government’s decision to close the Independent Living Fund (ILF) on 30 June 2015.

The ILF remains committed to supporting its users between now and 30 June 2015. It will therefore continue to prepare them for transfer to their local authority or any agreed new arrangements within the devolved administrations.
