Appointments made to National Park Authority Boards
New board members will drive efforts to preserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and heritage of England's National Parks and Landscapes

Two new members have joined the boards of England’s National Park Authorities.

The following members will serve four-year terms ending on 30 June 2029:

  • Lake District NPA: Juliet Bailey
  • South Downs NPA: Robson Peisley

National Park Authority (NPA) board members are responsible for ensuring that the Authority furthers the statutory purposes of the Park – specifically, to preserve and enhance its natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage, as well as to provide opportunities for the public to understand and enjoy their unique attributes.

Appointments are made in accordance with the Governance Code on Public Appointments. All appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process.
