Cold weather alert: lowered to level 1

Following a Level 2 alert issued on 18 February 2013, temperatures have now risen across England and the Cold Weather Plan alert indicator has reverted to Level 1.

Level 1 is the standard state of preparedness for cold weather during the November to March period of the year.
