This leaflet, now also available in Tamil and Bengali, explains how expectant mothers can protect their unborn baby and the unborn children of those close to them.

Catching German measles (rubella) during pregnancy can have very serious implications for an unborn baby.

It can, for example, lead to the baby being born with serious disabilities such as blindness and deafness. The risk of having a miscarriage is also increased.

The Tamil and Bengali translations of this leaflet have been produced by Sense, the charity for deafblind people.

You can order copies of the translated leaflets by contacting Sense at: info@sense.org.uk or by calling their information and advice service on 0845 127 0066.
