Ministers were recently updated with data on the current and future maternity workforce. The Department has commissioned the Centre for Workforce Intelligence (CfWI) to undertake an in depth analysis into the nursing and midwifery workforce which will make policy and strategic recommendations for the future of the workforce. The project is expected to report this summer.
