From 6 April 2022, the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be reducing the fees for DBS checks.
The fees will reduce as follows:

| Basic DBS check | £23 | £18 |
| Standard DBS check | £23 | £18 |
| Enhanced DBS check | £40 | £38 |
| Enhanced with Barred Lists DBS check | £40 | £38 |
The fee for the Update Service will remain the same, at £13 per year.
Standard, Enhanced, and Enhanced with Barred Lists DBS checks for volunteer applications will remain free-of-charge.
