The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) was a UK government department responsible for protecting and promoting British interests worldwide. It managed diplomatic relations, supported British citizens abroad, and worked on international issues such as security and trade. In 2020, it merged with the Department for International Development to form the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
