From 1 March 2023 the Bona Vacantia Division (BVD) will publish revised Dissolved Company Guidelines containing new Referral Forms.
There will be no significant changes to the guidance but the new forms will make the application process easier and clarify which information you must provide in order for the matter to be dealt with by BVD. The forms will also contain a QR code to link to the corresponding guidance.
From 1 March onward any new referral to BVD will require the completion of the relevant Referral Form and any supporting documentation requested depending on the asset type (e.g. freehold land, Commercial Leases and Intellectual Property) being referred and available at Bona vacantia companies guidelines - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).
