Innovative projects share £10m funding
Innovative projects to tackle domestic violence, child abuse, antisocial behaviour and hate crimes receive Home Office funding.

Two hundred and sixty seven projects from across England and Wales secured a slice of the community action against crime innovation fund.

The two-year fund is designed to bring together active citizens from community and voluntary groups to encourage them to use new and creative ways of working to tackle crime.

Lord Henley, Minister for Crime Prevention and Antisocial Behaviour Reduction, said: ‘We have made £10million of funding available over two years to help communities develop innovative approaches to tackling local crime issues to build safer neighbourhoods.

‘Voluntary groups play a vital role in empowering communities to work in partnership to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.’
