New members appointed to the Independent Reconfiguration Panel
Public appointments made by ministers in the Department of Health and Social Care.

Professor Gordon Carlson CBE, Kate Denham, Dr Rob Ghosh and Christine Morgan have been appointed as members of the Independent Reconfiguration Panel, for 4 years from 1 October 2025.

The roles were advertised for a time commitment of 10 to 12 days per year and remuneration of £300 per day.

These appointments have been made in accordance with the Cabinet Office Code of Governance for Public Appointments. The regulation of public appointments against the requirements of this code is carried out by the Commissioner for Public Appointments. 

The appointments are made on merit and political activity played no part in the decision process.?However, in accordance with the code, there is a requirement for appointees’ political activity (if any declared) to be made public. None have declared any political activity.
