The extension will provide more certainty to the market as we continue work on system restoration, and forms part of the LAA’s commitment to do all we can to enable suitably qualified providers to offer legal aid funded services.
The LAA will continue using an application process that remains open for the term of the contract. It provides an opportunity for new providers to enter the market, and for providers who currently hold a 2024 Standard Civil Contract to apply for additional categories of law and/or offices.
Applicants will be able to tender in all civil categories of law.
Where can I find out more?
There is no action to take for existing 2024 Standard Civil Contract holders, queries should be directed to Contract Managers. Contract schedules will be updated in due course.
