Providers are now able to take advantage of an electronic submission process for civil escape fee claims.
This involves:
- submitting an online Civil EC Claim 1 form to a specific mailbox
- uploading the file of papers to a cloud storage facility
Advantages include:
- quicker processing times
- reduced postage costs for providers and the Legal Aid Agency
- less chance of a file being rejected
The system is currently being piloted with providers. Once the pilot phase has drawn to a close we would like interested providers to be able to adopt the system as soon as possible.

If you already have a fully electronic case management system and are able to upload files to a cloud storage system, speak to your contract manager, or use the email address below to find out more.
