Collision between fishing vessels Good Intent and Silver Dee, resulting in the sinking of Silver Dee in the Irish Sea

Our accident investigation report into the collision between stern trawlers Good Intent and Silver Dee while under way in the Irish Sea on 29 July 2015, resulting in the sinking of Silver Dee is now published.

The report, available via this link, contains details of what happened and the subsequent actions taken.

A safety flyer for the fishing industry has also been produced summarising the accident and detailing the safety lessons learned.
