Boat operators urged to coordinate movements within dive sites following a fatal contact between a recreational diving support boat and a diver in the water.

Today, we have issued a safety bulletin to boat operators reminding them of the requirement to keep an effective lookout at all times when a vessel is underway, and to maintain detailed and frequent communications with other boat operators in the vicinity.

The bulletin, available via this link, contains details of what happened, initial findings, safety lessons and a recommendation.
