Ofsted highlights views of children in care
For the first time the inspectorate has highlighted the findings of its annual survey of children living in children’s homes and foster care.

Children’s views on what is most important about their experience of living away from home have been published today 23 November, 2015 by Ofsted.

For the first time, the inspectorate has highlighted the findings of its annual survey of children living in children’s homes and foster care. Over 3,000 children took the time to tell Ofsted what is important about the care they receive.

This year’s responses from nearly 28,000 individuals are set out in 2 slide packs, one focused on the views of children and young people living in children’s homes and foster care and the other focused on the views of adults; parents, carers, adopters and professionals working with children.

There is an accompanying data release that covers all the services Ofsted regulates - children’s homes, secure children’s homes, adoption services, fostering services, and residential family centres.
