Haass talks resume in Belfast

US diplomat Richard Haass has returned to Northern Ireland to host further talks aimed at resolving issues around flags, parading and the past.

The Secretary of State, Rt Hon Theresa Villiers said:

I welcome back Dr Haass and his team and encourage all the parties at the table today to find a way to make progress on these difficult issues before the end of year deadline.
