Condemning the shooting of a husband and wife in their home in West Belfast on Thursday 12 January, Secretary of State, James Brokenshire said:
This attack could have resulted in two deaths. There is no place for this violence in our society. This couple have been subjected to a brutal attack in their own home. We can all play a part in shaping the type of society we live in.
