Paterson condemns attack on Dolores Kelly

Secretary of State Owen Paterson has condemned the attack on Dolores Kelly in Lurgan.

Mr Paterson said:

This was a despicable and cowardly attack which will only reinforce the determination of everyone with the interests of the community at heart to defend the democratic process.

Attacks on candidates and election workers will not halt the hard won political progress that continues to be made in Northern Ireland.
