Paterson pays tribute to Royal Irish Soldier
Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Owen Paterson MP pays tribute to Ranger David Dalzell from Bangor in Northern Ireland.

Secretary of State Owen Paterson MP has paid tribute to Ranger David Dalzell from Bangor in Northern Ireland who died while serving with the 1st Battalion, The Royal Irish Regiment in Helmand Province in Afghanistan.

The regiment is based at Tern Hill, Market Drayton in Mr Paterson’s North Shropshire constituency.

Owen Paterson said:

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ranger Dalzell’s family and friends. I hope that in time they will be able to take some comfort from the knowledge that he died in the service of his country.
