Earlier this evening, Rt Hon James Brokenshire MP, said:
I would like to pay tribute to David Ford’s significant political contribution.
Over the past 20 years, David has been at the heart of Northern Ireland politics, not only as leader of the Alliance Party, but also as Northern Ireland’s first Justice Minister since the devolution of Policing and Justice in 2010. We should be extremely thankful to him for his work to help secure peace and stability in Northern Ireland.
I wish him success in his continuing role as South Antrim MLA.
