Thales UK announcement: Great news for workers in east Belfast

The Secretary of State, Theresa Villiers said:

Congratulations to Thales UK on the excellent news that it has signed a £100m deal to supply its Starstreak missiles and Forceshield Integrated Air Defence System to Indonesia.

This is a huge boost for Thales workers in east Belfast and for the NI aerospace sector, which already accounts for almost 10% of the UK’s market share.

My thanks to the Prime Minister for his personal involvement in helping secure the deal.
