The Queen Arrives In Northern Ireland for Diamond Jubilee celebrations
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh arrive in Northern Ireland for 2 days of Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Her Majesty The Queen accompanied by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh has arrived in Northern Ireland marking the beginning of a two day visit, forming part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Her Majesty stepped off the Royal Flight at Enniskillen Airport and was greeted by The Rt Hon The Earl of Erne KCVO, Lord-Lieutenant of County Fermanagh. Her Majesty went on to be welcomed by The Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP, Secretary of State for Northern Ireland who will accompany Her Majesty during the 2 day visit.

Local school children and well wishers were also among the first to see The Queen on this historic occasion as the Royal party began the short journey to Enniskillen for the first engagement of the day.

On Arrival Her Majesty The Queen was greeted by The Rt Hon The Earl of Erne KCVO Lord- Lieutenant of County Fermanagh and went on to meet:

  • The Countess of Erne
  • The Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP Secretary of State for Northern Ireland
  • The Hon Rose Paterson, Mr Alan Cathcart, Director Enniskillen Airport Limited
  • Mrs Susan Cathcart.

The Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet Cpl Amy Kenny was also in attendance.
