Villiers visits Star of the Sea Church, Newtownabbey

The Secretary of State today visited Star of the Sea Church and met Father Alexander to offer her support following the recent series of attacks on his church.

Following the visit, Theresa Villiers said

I appeal to those people who are carrying out this vandalism to stop.

Attacking a church is disgraceful. I am sure the vast majority of people in Northern Ireland would join me in condemning this kind of sectarian intimidation.
