William Hague, the Prime Minister’s Special Representative on Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict, announced the report's publication.

The Prime Minister’s Special Representative on Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict, William Hague, announced the publication today of the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict Report. The report provides a summary of the discussions and events that took place at the summit in London between 10 and 13 June and some of the activity held around the world supporting the summit and its aims. The report also provides details of the commitments made by countries at the event, both collectively and nationally.

Mr Hague said:

The global summit demonstrated the international community’s will to end, once and for all, sexual violence in conflict. These crimes have no place in today’s world. This report demonstrates not only the breadth and depth of the discussions at this landmark event but also the collective dedication of everyone who participated.

We are now working with partners to ensure the commitments made at the summit are fulfilled and those who commit acts of sexual violence in conflict are brought to account, wherever they are.
