Skillsfirst Awards Limited has surrendered its status as an Ofqual-recognised awarding organisation.
Skillsfirst Awards Limited informed Ofqual in March 2022 of its intention to surrender recognition. Skillsfirst Awards Limited has been acquired by VTCT and its regulated provision transferred to VTCT as part of the surrender process.
The surrender took effect as of 31 January 2023. From this date, no qualifications offered by Skillsfirst Awards Limited are regulated by Ofqual.
Skillsfirst Awards Limited previously had 332 regulated qualifications and issued 11,522 certificates in the last academic year. Skillsfirst Awards Limited has provided assurance to us that there has been no adverse effect on any students as a result of this surrender.
