Sir Peter Barclay, SSAC's second chairman, has died
It is with some sadness that the committee notes that Sir Peter Barclay, aged 88 years, died on 30 June.

Peter served as Social Security Advisory Committee chairman between 1984 and 1993. He had also been a Trustee of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation since 1972 and was its chair between 1996 and 2001.
