The Home Office has made amendments to the Misuse of Drugs Regulations (MDR) that affect vets:
- the requirement to include your RCVS number on veterinary prescriptions for Schedule 2 and 3 drugs came into force on 1 July 2015
- the rescheduling of ketamine to Schedule 2 takes effect from 30 November 2015
- the requirement to use a specified form which complies with Regulation 14 of the MDR for the requisitioning of Schedule 2 and 3 drugs will come into force on 30 November 2015
