Bravecto Chewable Tablets for Dogs seized at East Midlands Airport.

A package containing a UK authorised veterinary medicine was identified by a courier company based at East Midlands Airport.

The package arrived from Malta containing medicine destined for a residential address in Nottinghamshire.  

The medicine was detained and subsequently seized by an inspector from the VMD.

The following medicine was seized:  

  • 1 x Box of Bravecto Chewable Tablet for dogs

This product is intended for use in dogs and is classified as a Prescription Only Medicine – Veterinarian (POM-V).

POM-V medicines must be prescribed by a vet who has the animal under their care and cannot be imported into GB by the general public.

The medicine was seized under Regulation 9 (Importation of authorised veterinary medicinal products) of the Veterinary Medicines Regulation 2013.
