CNPA has oversight of, and employs, the Civil Nuclear Constabulary, a dedicated armed response capability for designated civil nuclear sites and designated nuclear material.
Established 2005. The Chair's remuneration is calculated on the basis that he works three days a week. The Chief Executive also gets a pension p.a. Four of the members are ex-officio appointments representing the nuclear industry.
