The Industrial Development Advisory Board advises Ministers on applications from companies who are proposing to undertake investment projects in England and have applied for financial assistance under the Regional Growth Fund scheme; it also advises on proposed new schemes.

Established in 1972. The activities of the Industrial Development Advisory Board are included in an annual report to Parliament on the exercise of powers under the Industrial Development Act 1982.
