Royal Mint Advisory Committee on the design of coins, medals, seals and decorations

Her Majesty's Treasury

The purpose of the committee is to raise the standard of numismatic and medallic art in Britain and this remains its primary concern, being charged on behalf of HM Treasury and other government departments with the recommendation of all new designs for United Kingdom coins, official medals, seals and decorations. It was established with the personal approval of King George V.

Established 1922. Triennial review began 2012.
